  1. What is Recycle 2 school?
    Recycle 2 school is recycling initiative that actively promotes recycling and reuse of textile and books to the developing world.
  2. How much will it cost?
    Recycle 2 school is a cost free programme, which offers you the opportunity to raise funds for your school and at the same time help our environment by keeping valuable resources out of landfill.
  3. How do I arrange a collection?
    You can book a collection or call us and one of our advisors will gladly set it up for you.
  4. What bags should we use?
    Recycle 2 school will provide the collection bags to your school at no cost. We will also accept any other bags that you may use.
  5. What can I fill my bag with?
    Recycle 2 school collects good quality ladies wear, menswear, children’s clothing, bedding, curtains, shoes, belts and handbags. Please do not include any sharp objects or bric a brac.
  6. What happens to the clothes you collect from our school?
    The clothes are exported to developing countries where market traders sell them to poor families who can purchase wearable clothing at affordable prices.
  7. How do we get paid?
    Once the clothes are collected, they are weighed. Payment is calculated according to the weight and made within 14 days of the collection date.
  8. Can the money raised go to a charity?
    At the discretion of the school we can donate the funds raised to any suggested charity.
  9. How many collections can we have?
    We recommend one collection per term but you can arrange as many or as few collections as you feel you need. The more you recycle the more money your school can raise.
  10. What happens if it rains?
    In the event it rains we would suggest that the bags are stored in a dry area as wet clothes cannot be reused.
